The Community Empowerment and Development Center (CED Center) in Nakasongola District, Uganda is one step closer to reality because of Nziza donation of "seed money" for the purchase of bricks.
The CED Center is the brain child of Simon Mugabi, a UNICEF Development officer. Mr. Mugabi and Nziza Director, Lori Peacock met during a medical mission to Kenya's Kwali District in November 2008. It was then that Mr. Mugabi shared with Ms. Peacock his vision of opening a center for women and vulnerable children in his home district in Uganda. Mr. Mugabi donated 6 acres of his family's land for the project.
